Roma High School Band Members Named to TMEA All-State Band
Ten members of the Roma High School Band earned a seat in the Texas Music Educators Association (TMEA) All-State Band, which is the highest recognition a high school band student can earn! The students auditioned this past weekend in Corpus Christi and are now ranked among the top 3% of band students in the entire state of Texas!
The 2020 TMEA All-State Band Students include:
- Alejandro Moreno, 6A Clarinet and 4-year All-State Band Member
- Roberta Hinojosa, 5A Clarinet and 2-year All-State Band Member
- Angie Martinez, 5A Oboe
- Aracely Garcia, 6A Bassoon and 2-year All-State Band Member
- Daniela Molina, 5A Flute and 2-year All-State Band Member - Zayra Vela, 6A Piccolo
- Kailey Lopez, 5A Contra-Bass Clarinet and 4-year All-State Band Member
- Eden Ramirez, 5A Bari Sax (9th grader)
- Angel Herrera, 5A Trombone
- Jose Medina, 6A Tuba
A big thanks to the instructors of these students who have supported them on their journey to state and helped them hone their skills including Maricruz Bustamante Perez, Ivan Trevino, Jennifer Villarreal, Corey Graves, Eden Perez, John Mireles and Lizardo Hinojosa.
